Water doesn’t flow naturally in a straight line. It meanders and sways following the
topography of the land. Mitchelton resides on one such curve. A place affectionately dubbed:
The Bend. An idyllic spot where people congregate to eat, drink and play. Where rushing is a foreign concept, and the day takes you where it will. Whether on our ground or your own, there’s always a time and a place for The Bend. Ripe plums, dark berry with bay leaf characters, heightened by subtle suggestions of cedary oak and a fusion of juicy blackcurrant characters.
This Chardonnay displays aromas of rockmelen and peach with subtle hints of nougat and spicey oak. The palate delivers great length of pure stone fruit characters and creamy complexity.

Mitchelton Shiraz Mitchelton Cabernet Sauvignon Mitchelton Airstrip
Mitchelton Shiraz Mitchelton Cabernet Sauvignon Mitchelton Airstrip
Mitchelton Shiraz is an opulent wine melding the best fruit from shiraz blocks with vines aged between 12 – 35 years, with the older 35 year old vines contributing about 50 per cent to the final wine. A celebration of the attributes which have made Mitchelton Shiraz so well respected, the wine showcases the quality shiraz fruit cultivated in the regions unique climate and geology.

Bright crimson in colour with a red brick hue developing, the 2013 Mitchelton Shiraz delivers aromas of ripe plum and mulberry with overtones of dusty chocolate and toasty oak.  Rich fruitcake, blackberry and savoury olive flavours are held in balance on the medium weight palate.  A blanket of fine and focussed tannins support the long flavoursome finish and ensure the wine will continue to improve with further maturation.

Mitchelton Cabernet Sauvignon is meticulously sourced from the most expressive parcels of fruit from some of the oldest blocks on the Estate. The wine typically reveals a generous core of ripe blackcurrant fruit with bay leaf and menthol notes conferring complexity.

Airstrip blends Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier together in a medley of vibrant stone fruit flavours with good crisp dry balance and texture. The wine is named after the source block on the estate which was once a landing area for light aircraft. It is the embodiment of a well structured wine which balances the unique qualities of the individual varieties.

Crescent blends the ever popular Shiraz with the more exotic Mourvèdre and Grenache varieties. The blend takes its name from the ‘Crescent’ shaped sandbar which is home to Mitchelton Estate’s oldest shiraz vines.  The result is a layered and sophisticated wine showcasing the poise and balance that comes from careful blending.

Heathcote Shiraz is sourced from two fastidiously maintained vineyards located on the renown Mt Camel Ridge. Rich in ancient Jasper, Greenstone and Ironstone, the unique Cambrian soils have been formed over 600 million years and provide the ideal profile for opulent and full-bodied Shiraz.

Print Shiraz represents the pinnacle of Mitchelton winemaking.  Since it’s inception in 1982, Print Shiraz employs the most impeccable parcels of wine crafted from each vintage in a blend that is carefully assembled to demonstrate a showcase of restrained power, complexity and unquestionable pedigree.

Aromas of smokey charcuterie, bright red fruits and a touch of menthol.  Medium bodied and complex in the mouth, subtle smokey oak is married to brandied cherries, tar and a touch of cola.  Super fine tannins draw out the flavours for a long finish.
